HB by HANNA BARANAVA - SS2019
Following on from the subdued tones of the autumn-winter collection inspired by a magic winter forest, the new spring-summer collection 2019 bursts into motion with its lightness and airiness, as if it were on a dizzying flight in the cloud-speckled blue sky with the course set for the horizon. The designer’s choice of the 1920s style was no doubt influenced by Amelia Mary Earhart, the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic.
The collection is part shirts and overalls, an integral feature of the wardrobe of this 20th century legend. The day wear of the new collection - created in natural cotton fabrics - reminds us of those days at the turn of the last century when the new invention of synthetic fibres was still unknown to the world. The designer remains steadfast in her choice of natural lightweight fabrics. The choice of the colours is also symbolic: the palette of the sky - white, blue, gray and blue-gray shades.
In contrast to the day wear are the evening garments of this collection, all created in bright eye-catching colours. And here we see another colour twist of the magical sky, with the deep purple and dark blue of the evening dresses reminiscent of a rich skyline at sunset. Magic - it fascinates and invites us to soar through the clouds and dream together with the creator of this new collection.
